  • If you live in the midwest....

...how many of you would come to a f-body gathering?

Specifially the 2004 Second Annual Midwest F-Body Gathering...in Des Moines, Iowa.

I put one together last year and got good results. Pics can be seen here:

    PICS from 2003 Meet

Plans this year include a BBQ in my 2 acre back yard, maybe a dyno day at local machine shop, and maybe go-karting too in a brand new go-karting facility.

T-shirts will probably be made, awards may be given...it all depends on the amount of peeps that will show.

Anyone interested? If so, I need to get emails/screen names as to who will be coming.

    Please fill out this form.

Once you fill out the form, I will add you to the mailing list so you can get info/updates on the meet and such.

The dyno may be a thing of the past if we don't get enough peeps interested. It seems like it would be a day long event and I don't want to cram everything together.

A giant cruise was also brought up. Just think, lots of f-bodies going around Des Moines...that would be so cool.

Try to get the word out, as I have already posted on CZ28, TGO, MNF-BODY, EIFBA, MFBA, 3rdgen, StLoiusF_BODY, and this one....hopefully more.

    Josh

A bit too far for me, but if you can, organize a cruise. Wolfman and his better half have hosted the Skyline Drive cruise for the past 7 (maybe 8??) years, and it is awesome! .....50+ f-bods making their presence known....people stop dead in the tracks, children jump up and down and wave.....big smiles on people's faces as we roar by.....it's a rush like no other!

              Go for it!!!
              DWS
              Silver M6 '95 Formula-sold to MCKNBRD

              Zaino all the way!!

              '03 Z06....Donaldson Blackwing, CAGS, '04 Z06 shocks, ceramic pads

One thing I am going to try to arrange is this: My aunt is a Des Moines cop and the DMPD owns a Z28 Camaro for a police car. I am going to try to convince her to give our cruise a police escort through Des Moines in the police equipped Z28....I think that would be the coolest.

BTW, if you signed up for the mailing list, I just sent out the first mailing regarding the meet.

                  Great job!

Btw, do you want me to post it on my local Fbody board?

Josh, I got the email, but the HTML was all messed up, and I had to try to de-code and pick out the relevant phrases... I got some of it, but a lot of it was pretty jumbled up with the code. Any chance you can PM me the details on here?

According to the Yahoo map finder it's 331 miles from Chicago to Des Moines, a 6 hour drive. Count me in I'm there.

Could someone please post Josh's web site here with the info on the gathering? I thought it was one of the ones in his signature but I was wrong. I have the URL at home but not here.

                              Thanks.
