    i am thinking of fitting a shift kit to my 93 fourmla what do you guys recomend? and also i have seen the b&m switches in the summit catalog what do they do and are they any good as i use the car every day. also are there any after marcket shifters avilble for my car ie b&m

    definitely go with a valve body kit (replace springs) like a trans-go or no-yo-yo. i dont know anything about the b&m switches or aftermarket shifters, though.

          DONT GET THE ELECTRONIC SHIFT KIT. That is the one with the switch. It will tear up your trans. I had one in my 95 Z28 for 2 months.... Just long enough for it to cost me a $1,200 trans rebuild. I have never had the other kind of shift kit, but I know you dont want an electronic one.

            Check out this sight. http://www.4l60-e.com/ They sell all kinds of Tranny parts as well as complete trannys. They also have all kinds of info on what parts do what etc. Check it out you'll learn alot. Hope this helps.........Later

              He has a 700R4..... its not electronically controlled. Go with the Transgo kit - you wont be disappointed.

                sorry, i gave you numbers for 700r4/4l60. part number for the electronic version (4l60e) are 171093 ("Transgo-High Perf/Race). im not sure where you can get this kit, cause i am getting the part number from Aceomatic Recon, a company my father's business buys tranny stuff from.
