  • Pro Am III????????

    Hi,
A good friend has a '95 Trans-am Pro Am III. Niether one of us can find much info on it. All we know is there was only 365 made and they were built in Chatanooga, TN. Everyone else seems to think that they were all V6's, but he has a V8. I guess we wanna know everything we can about them and why they stopped being built. If anyone could help us out I would be very greatful.

OK, I got the vin from him. Can anyone help me. "2G2FV22P4S2254060"

    Re: Pro Am III????????

I've seen one. Was it a dealer build?

I do think they were all v6's. Maybe someone did a custom swap?

    What are your RPO codes?

We have one down here in Mobile, and from what I've heard it is a V6 car. Not only that, but it is a V6/Formula based car with ground effects, so it's not a Trans Am (TA has a different nose). It has a ram air hood as well, but I don't know if it's functional. The one here is red/silver two tone, factory paint job, with the Pro Am stickers at the front lower edge of the door (similar location to the Firehawk factory stickers).

        Here you guys go:

        http://www.fiberglassfabricatorsinc.com/

This is the company that made the parts, you can order the stuff and do it yourself. The original Pro Am cars were V6s with non functional ram air looking hoods.
