factory cd changer in a vert?

I've got a '98 TA drop top and was wondering if anybody with a convertable has the factory cd changer installed. Should the wiring already be there? I know an aftermarket system would be the way to go but...

wiring is there--it's right behind the hydralic pump for the top--drivers side behind the panel in teh trunk
