For a stock exhaust 96 Z28. I found this one from jegs but am not sure which size I need. I've heard that a 3 incher will work but I know the stock pipe is smaller than that. Anywhooo here's the Link http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...62&prmenbr=361 Please help me pick my cut out. Thanks in advance.....Later

wow mr nice guy...ur really set on getting a cut out...personally, I don't think any of the cut outs that Jegs is offering will fit. I'd measure the circumfrence of the pipe you'd want to attach too. I know my stock intermediate pipe was a smaller than the 3 incher I have connecting to my Magnaflow...2 3/4 I assume, 2.5 even (LS1 though). Didn't take any measurements...
I'm assuming you'd connect the cutout after the cat and before the muffler...
Search it...I know a couple of guys on the board that have em.
Hope you end up happy...whatever that may be. Sorry, it's 5:08 am Atlanta...

The LS1 intermediate pipe is 2.75".
Not sure about the LT1.
However (if we assume it's the 2.75"), you can have any muffler show make you a 2.75" to 3" increaser piece and a 3" to 2.75" reducer piece. Then just fit it all together with the cut-out in between.
