What does a "functional" SS (or any other) hood buy you? Is there any difference between an aftermarket functional SS hood and the hood SLP puts on the SS? I would just like to know for future reference.
Thanks

The stock SS hood is "functional". Some think that because of the crooked path it takes to the airbox that the WS6 hood is better, though -- or the Camaro Ultra Z hood also...
However, I believe it was Injuneer who posted some numbers on the "functional" Ram Air hoods a while ago, and said that at 100 mph, the gain from the functional hoods is only 3 HP. If I am wrong Fred, please correct me.
