  • new opti break-in

Since I have 2 miles on my new opti, I was wondering if there's a break in period, or at least a "don't hammer the throttle amount of time". Not that I want to kill the car again, I want to make sure it runs great at the whole RPM band. Unless, of course, there's no need to test a new opti? Right now, I haven't taken it over 2000.
    Thanks for any advice.

Keep it below 6000 rpms. It should be fine. No break in period.

When I had my first OPTI replaced, they did not hook up either vacuum line to mine. I believe this is why OPTI #1 only lasted 6 months. I don't know if the 94 has the vacuum lines on it since it is not vented but if it does, make sure they are hooked up. They also did not get the radiator fan shroud in the bottom clips when they put it back in. It was hanging from the top bolts. This was a dealership too.

No vacuum lines on a 93/94 unvented Opti. No break in period.

Drive through large body of standing water - it washes out the breakin dust
