You do need an EPROM (chip) replacement, but my question is why do you need one? What mods do you have that require it? More info needed....

the car is stock at present but i have just orded a cat back borla and qtp cutout the cat has been removed. i am coming on vacation in april and i was going to purchace a cold air kit and vairous outher bolt ons including a multi spark unit like the crane system in the summit catalog what do uoy guys think. do you not think i need a chip change then ?

You don't need it for bolt-ons. Of course you can get one, and I would definately not get one of those cookie cutter chips (ie JET, Accel, etc). If you want one get one custom made by Alvin at www.pcmforless.com
He used to burn all mine and I can't say enough good things about his services.

Do you have bigger plans in the future? If your staying with just bolt ons, then get one now, if not...and plan on doing heads/cam/N2O/blower etc...wait and get it done at that time.
