hey guys im a newbie and i love trans ams and camaros i currenlty own a 1969 trans am and a 1979 trans am with a olds 455 in it (i love this t/a) but in my quest for looking for a cammaro i found a guy hes offerin me a red 1990 scca scop camaro racinc iroc he claims it gots a 5.7l 350 in it does this sound right and were can i get info on this kind of camaro

Thre are many (2,415 to be exact) 1990 Iroc-Z's with 5.7 in them. 1990 was the last year for the Iroc. I used to have a 1988 5.7 Iroc. Basically the same car.

so this scca scop b/s is b/s or can it be true he claims the hole car is stock dif ground effects and a cowl induction hood then a reg camaro but it came stock like that

Anyways 3rd gen f-bods are nice if you like the body style, but I would hold out and find a 93-02 Camaro with an LT1 or LS1 I think you'll be happier with it.

Not to mention the available 6-speed, and the converts are not hacked up hardtops. 4th gen converts are OEM factory made unlike the 3rd gens. Also, 4th gen hardtops can be fairly easily converted to T-top. The only reason I can see to get a 3rd gen car is if you really hate the 4th gen appearance.

This 1990 SCCA car could be a factory built 1LE with the 5.7 engine or a B4C police car. Check the glove box for the option sheet and look for the 1LE or B4C options. If it has the aluminum driveshaft and big brakes, it's probably a 1LE. As for the 69 TA, is it a real TA? yes it is real i did pay a pretty penny for it it was in good shape when i got it but im trying to restore it perfect and put it in shows
and i dont see now option sheet in the glovebox

I once sold an SLP Ultra-Z. It was a special car, but the fact remained it was just a bolt-on kit I installed myself. It did not change what the car was. It was just a plain Z-28 and in the end that is all it was worth.
See what I'm getting at?
