  • Fuel Filter - Replace On Not?

According to the big green shop manual, there is no scheduled replacement interval for the 01 fuel filter. I am coming up on 50k. I dont know if it would be a waste of money or not.

If I recall not long ago they used to recommend replacing the fuel filter every 24 - 30k miles. what has changed in these filters that would make them last forever? Or why would GM not recommend it as part of normal maintenance?

It's all dependent on what goes into your fuel tank as to when the filter might need to be replaced, so they don't recommend a particular interval. Change it.
