Very cool! I love to see people put late model engines in an early model vehicle. And you have the OD trans in it too. Just as much power but a lot better gas mileage. Good job! 4 wheel disc brakes too. Wow!

exactly the reason why I chose an LT1 to put in my project ('36 Chevy Master). About 90% of the hot rod guys just have a SBC running on a carb, 5% decide to run some weird stuff like a flathead with aluminum heads or a turbo'ed slant-sixes or somethin, then another 5% run EFI. You ask all the EFI guys, and most of them are older dudes who will tell you that they were hardcore carb guys, but nothing beats having a car sit for over a month, then you turn the key and the thing fires up .
my car:
'86 Caprice Classic. Soon to have a 350 crate motor. Shooting for 300rwhp.
the project:
check the www for pics, but a '36 Chevy Master Sedan, MII front end, Jaguar IRS, '93 LT1 powerplant with plans for 350rwhp, and many many other goodies
I hate you JK I am so jealous!!! You have my dream car. 1st gen with a late model engine. That thing is BEAUTIFUL. Perfect wheel choice too.

This car was on Ebay and I won the auction(no reserve). It's a CA car and has no rust. One quarter panel was replaced years ago but it was a full panel. The wheels are 16x8 Vintage Wheel Works V45 model which is real close to the Torq Thrusts. I haven't even had a chance to drive it yet. There are still some bugs to be worked out along with some new parts to go on(wheel moldings, rocker moldings, headers, exhaust, front bumper, rear springs).

Yes, Hugger Orange. And the pictures still look terrible. It's a great looking color in person, especially on a sunny day. On a cloudy day it looks a lot darker(obviously) and it's almost boring to look at in the garage!
