  • Why remove a sway bar?

I noticed "Flash 97 WS/6" listed under mods a removed sway bar. What is the purpose of doing that? Pros, cons?

Straight Line Flex would be my guess.

Its done for the 1/4mile ETs...I just disconnect mine at the end links, but leave it in place. If you remove it, you get less weight in the front and MUCH better front to rear weight transfer. I always reconnect it when driving home though, it just doesnt feel safe to me any other way on the roads.

A sway bar limits front suspension travel. Removal allows the front end to lift faster and farther, transferring the weight to the rear for better traction during the application of power. It does allow the suspension to do some other nasty stuff so removing the sway bar makes it tough to live with on the street.
