  • Finally did it De-Screened the MAF

    Well I finally decided to descreen the MAF today I had it out anyway becauce the dealer somehow managed miss the bottom half of the seal between the MAF and the air box pretty much made the air filter useless (imagine that) ...drove the car and it seems to have a little more low end (maybe just my imagination )

    D. Goetz sub-frame connectors.
    strut tower brace
    SLP fan switch
    160* t/stat
    Drilled and slotted rotors/ Earls SS brake lines/ Hawk pads
    DMS 1.5" progressive lowering springs

    you are probably one of the lucky ones..... some cars don't respond well to the descreen or porting of the housing. Most often an unstable idle is the result. My 97 responded great, giving me a little sharper response and perhaps a few HP. If you every feel brave, you can port the housing yourself.....Maf porting

      it helped mine also..although i went with mallory maf ends instead. i have a rough idle... but had one anyway....LT4 hot cam kinda does that.....
