actualy, 15 hp is possible. in 1994, slp engineering dynoed 15hp extra with the "two on the left" cat back on a stock forumla during the firehawk modificaiton process. it was all "real". thats at the flywheel..not rw's. thats the most ive seen to date. now with headers..you get alittle more. but anything over 20hp or so is outrageous claims.....Originally posted by DJ Taso
wolfman's right. An exhaust system will not give you 52hp. You'll be lucky to get 5 at the most. Only if you're heavly modified an exhaust system will give you more.

To get a rear wheel sense, the borla cat-back made 10.4 more RWHP in a '96 WS6. 1 5/8" headers + 2 1/2" y-pipe were an extra 14.1 hp after the cat-back. It's on ws6.com. So that totals 24.5 more RWHP with a full exhaust - a more likely number to attain.94 Black T/A GT, Advanced Induction 355, 3200 stall, built 4L60E, Moser 9", Baer Brakes, Shooting for 11s...

Yep you can read it here and it's been proven on the Dyno. Do they have a Dyno chart to back these numbers up?Originally posted by Craig 94 TA GT

huh? lol
Not sure if I understand what you're saying. If you're saying you're looking for the most power, I personally believe that the SLP 2OTL will get you the most. I also know the Loudmouth is worth a lot, but not sure how much. Borla is good too.
Don't think a MAC cat-back could compete with those brands in terms of power...IMHO.
As far as headers, I'm not sure about which long-tubes are the best, considering I'm from the restricted state of CA...where I can only use short tubes and still pass smog.
BTW, I remember a while back Injuneer (I believe) said that someone had a 3" off-road pipe in place of the stock cat. Later, a Carsound cat was installed in place of the off-road pipe and he ran 1 mph higher - than without the cat. This could be because there was too little backpressure, and the Carsound cat helped tune it out a bit. I'm not sure the exact story; maybe Injuneer can help you on that one. I was looking through his site... with all the modifications he's done to his car, his best 1/4 time is still only 13.3 on street tires? I thought stock LT1's ran high 13's off the line, and this guy's done just about every mod out there...Originally posted by wolfman

Don't know about the numbers. But I think he's more about racing on roads than on 1/4 mile tracks. So he has it maybe more tuned towards those races rather than the 1/4 mile.Originally posted by briantech
