  • possible GN trade for fbody?

Hey everyone, Im new here. I go to school at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I am the proud owner of a 1986 Buick Grand National. I know everyone in here loves their fbody cars. I have owned a 92 ws6 firebird prior to the gn, and though i know it isnt the same performer your ls1 and lt1 cars are (or my gn for that matter) it was fun through the twisties. I am from Columbus Ohio and the trip demands a lot of a car. The GN just isnt the type of car for the college parking lots. I just need a bit more practicality. Its been attempted to be stolen once and I fear if I bring it down it will happen again. For this reason I have decided to sell it in the mid summertime. It has a fresh motor and I want to put some miles on it before I let it go to make sure everything is in perfect operating condition. Basically, I was wondering if there are people out there who would be open to a trade for an equal value fbody. My car was appraised at 13k without the consideration of the performance parts, and there are PLENTY. I am not looking to set anything up yet just sort of testing the waters so to speak. Thanks for letting me be part of your forum and I look forward to sharing fbody adventures with everyone in the future,

you can get a pretty trick 94-98 f body for 13k. what makes your think that would be more practical than your GN in a college parking lot? just curious........

The gn is an 11.8 car with a TE-61 turbo, 009's, street brawler convertor, drag radials, etc, etc. Im hoping to sell it and just buy a nice 98 or 99 preferably T/A, but thought itd be even easier if someone watnts to trade. Lets just say that im kinda in the hood at this school and Id feel safer driving around in a Vette than in my GN. The T/A is just a little more affordable

Sounds like a nice setup. But a GN is just a tad more practical than an F-Body. I've had both and the GN would win that category hands down.

Youre not going to ask that the trader accept a Cashiers Check for their F-Bod while you wait to deliver the GN are ya? LOL! Sorry, just had to throw that in. That looks like a really nice car, I know Id trade for it if I had an Extra F-Bod in the garage!

my z has the 98+ conversion
              and it is STS turbocharged
it would make a good daily driver
