Air intake box

The second item - "High Flow Air Box Assembly"

Would it buy you much as far as performance over a new air box lid (it is quite a bit more expensive)? Do you think a CAI kit would fit on it?

I want to get something to replace that god-awful stock intake lid and resonator thing, but thought I should pick a few brains before I start throwing money at it.

If your talking about the Ram Air pan, you can build one for FAR cheaper! Built mine for the cost of a rivet gun.

Pictures would be cool.

But I would really like to know if you guys think the item I mentioned above is worth the extra money. They claim it uses a Corvette air filter, implying a bigger air box than the one that comes stock on the LS1's. Would this make enough of a difference over the stock air box with an aftermarket lid (say SLP) to justify the extra cost. And also if a CAI would be able to be attached the this "larger air box". Although, if I were to build my own, as you suggest KnightFire, I suppose I could build it to fit anything.

And while we're at it, what is the difference between cold air induction and ram air?
