Im having my LT1 totally redone. Going to the shop, getting heat baithed, totally reassembled, putting on Eagle stuff for the stroking, AS&M headers, Crower custom cam(depending on the heads)BBK 52mm throttle body, porting the intake, etc etc. Does anyone have any suggestions for out of the box heads that would be good for my engine? Ive heard that AFR and FLow tech are the best. Any input?

A lot depends on the $$$ you want to spend...I've heard and seen through articles that AFR 195s are hard to beat...I've got LT-1s that have been extensively CNC and hand ported by John Lingenfelter with 2.00"int and 1.56" ext valves with double springs and they are awesome, but they are high $$$...I would give AFR and Lingenfelter a call....I'm sure you'll get more suggestions, but that's my 2 cents...

I would personally have your stock LT1 heads worked. They can perform extremely well given the right porting.Comment
