I have a 95 formula, more than moderately modified, and I cant get my OBDII port to work!! I know this might be a common problem because since i work at autozone i get to scan other cars and have had the same issue on other 95 f-bodies. If anyone can shed any light on this situation please help me out. Its soooo annoying.

Actually, ONLY the 1995 has the bastardized setup of a 16-pin OBD-II ALDL connector, connected to an OBD-I PCM. The 94 has a 12-pin OBD-I ALDL connector and OBD-I PCM. 1993 is also unique, in that it has 12-pin connector and can be "scanned" by shorting the ALDL pins, unlike the later years.
All you need for a 95 is an adapter connector for your OBD-I scanner, or just find the data pin (tan wire) and scan away. AutoXray sells the adapter. Andrew at AKM Cables can set you up with the correct connector and cable, allowing you to use FreeScan of TTS DataMaster scan software.Fred

Odd
That is odd. I have seen a 94 with the OBD-II connector. Maybe it was a mid year change. My scan tool shows the adapter cable fitting 94 and 95s.2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

My 94 has the 12-pin OBD-I connector, and it was one of the last ones built in model year 94.Fred

BAS
1994
My TA was built in June 94.. its a half model year.
I have the special blue tinted side mirrors,
which don't show up in the 94 parts listing, only
95.
I have the 12 pin connector.
You can't short the pins on these cars either.
