  • engine coolant flush question

ok i have a question. when you flush a radiator (coolant radiator), just put water init (froma garden hose) and let it run with radiator treatment, then empty it, then watter and run again for 10 min, then drain and fill will coolant and water. now my friend said that your actually supposed to hoock it up to a big machine ad it cleans out the cooling system. now is that true or what? os is the garden hose method the correct method?

If your just flushing the radiator...then your good to go the way you described. If you want to flush the entire system a vacuum machine helps remove the coolant from the block. Its a good idea to remove ALL the coolant and back flush the heater core.
