  • spray paint in the gas tank

I haven't had a chance to take a good look at the T/A because I just got back from a trip. I was almost feeling like "no harm no foul" because I thought I was able to remove everything and everything's back to normal.
I tried to clear her up as much as I could today and to my surprise, I opened the gas tank door and this is what I saw...

Not just vandals anymore, also thieves.
No gas cap. Looks like those #%*(&#s tried to spray inside my tank too. I'm pretty sure nothing got in, but if any did, is there any possible damage? And where can I get a replacement gas cap - something that looks just like OEM?

BTW, I'm not BB gun mad anymore, it's up to .22 angry - but don't worry, I promise not to shoot anyone.

      Paint in gastank.

Dude I would get the paintball gun out and blast the buttholes who did that. Just wait on them and blast away.

Remember, "All is fair in love and WAR." This is a sign of war for ya.

Good luck on whatever you decide.

I can feel your pain man. I would lay awake every night figuring that they would come back and do something else to the T/A.

I would get a lockable cap if possible. I know it's a pain in the behind but at least it prevents the brainless idiots that did this to try put something different in there.

        You never know.

In all honesty I would clean it up with paint thinner as best as possible, with any luck the filter will catch any crap that did get into the system. Just remember to change that filter after this tank is nearly empty.

I can't think of anything else that you could do...

I like that idea of taking peoples lugnuts. Only if they deserve it of course.

                I'd still shoot someone.

lol Thanks for the cheer up guys...I was pretty down because it feels like a personal attack. I mean, to spray the side of the car is one thing...some idiot just passing by decides to spray a car. OK, just some stupid kids. But now, they've actually stolen property and tried to do the stupidest thing I've seen...spray my gas tank; it feels like I was a target. I've never seen any other car around here that's been vandalized...but I have no enemies Maybe I'm paranoid, or maybe I'm right. Either way, I'm putting her in the garage from now on.

By the way, Kevin, where did you get that .gif "smile" shooting a gun?

                      Need a hand?

But seriously, I do like the paintball idea. Make sure you freeze them first.

You could get a replacement gas cap at any junk yard for less than $5.

I'd bet they just tossed the cap nearby... you might find it with a little luck. I would get a locking cap at least for a while, real pain, but better than sugar etc...

how exactly do you load a paintball with piss...

instead of shooting something that could theoretically cause them harm which they could then sue you for...

just fill a supersoaker with fox urine. ever smelled fox urine? it will make you gag / dry heave / vomit instantly upon a whiff. spray the little b*tches... spray their house... spray their air conditioner... spray a whole bunch up inside their air filter on their car...

                              Just curious?
