comments on these replacement wheels and tires

Consdiering buying the following --

17" CHROME CORVETTE 2000 REPLICA WHEEL
WHEEL SIZE - ( 17" X 8.5" )
OFFSET - ( 56mm )
BOLT PATTERN - ( 5 lug, 4 3/4 )
TIRES: NEW FALKEN 245/45/ZR17 ZIEX ZE 512
TREADWARE 360
TEMPERATURE A
TRACTION A

Anyone familiar with the tires? Problems with fit of wheels?

They are priced at $1289 complete on ebay, form a dealer with very high ratings, which didn't sound too bad-thoughts?

The wheels and tires are compatible, and the wheels have the correct offset.

Butttt....... why limit yourself to 8.5" wide wheels (1/2" wider than stock base models, 1/2" narrower than the SS/WS6), and tires that are no wider than the stockers. The popular choice is a 17x9.5" wheel, with a 275/40-17 tire.... a lot more rubber, a lot more grip, a lot more aggressive look. You do need to be careful with the C5 replicas at 17x9.5, because some of them have a 65mm offset, which you do not want. Acceptable range of offset in a 9.5" wide wheel is 45 - 56mm.
