  • tByrne comes through!

The Hotchkis strut tower brace that I ordered from tbyrnemotorsports.com last week arrived today. Fits perfectly.

Now, I've got a BMR strut tower brace for sale and have posted the details in the "For sale" section.

    Thanks, tByrne! Great service.

Why did you replace the BMR piece? I have one about to go on and I hadn't heard of problems with these.

There was (is) no problem with the BMR brace. The Hotchkis simply has a different look.

I can only hope the Hotchkis works as well as I have never seen a comparison between the two.

The BMR is very easy to install.

Funny, cause I have a Hotchkis and was thinking of getting a BMR for the ease of removal and installation.

The Hotchkis allows you to remove the center section without having to unbolt from the shock towers. Plus, it has other benefits.........

            hotchkis STB

I am very satisfied with both the look and the 'feel' of the Hotchkis STB. Went on very easy, and provides excellent lateral movement supprot (as do most of the STBs. (And, when I am doing a car show, it is a great place to set my 1/24 scale model of the Ragtop.) Justlike Joe with his burger tray!

I should have thought of the shelving possibility with the Hotchkis. LOL!

                Andy

The configuration of the Hotchkis STB for LS1 engines is not "shelving-friendly."
