  • Help! Need Wiring Info Please

Im installing a pro comp tach and shift light, and I want to set it up so that my night time light for the tach comes on with my twilight system. Im wanting to tap into the driving lights switch thats above the radio. Only problem is I don't know which wire is what and don't have a test light. my other is, can it be done as such, that I have the option of turning it on manually with the main light switch or letting the twilight kick it on, in other works, works both ways. I had alot of people tell me to ask here, that there were alot of trustworthy people here and that if anyone would know the answer to this, this was the site that would. Thanks in advance for any help given. By the way, nice site, looks like I have one more to hangout at.

Can't help ya with the wire color code, but a simple grounded toggle switch that is hooked up to your 12V feed will provide the functionality your looking for.

well, I found that the thick brown wire is power and so is the grey wire on the opposite side. I tapped the brown wire due to it is the same size wire. I won't know if I got the right one till tommorow when we start the car in the daylight. If it worked, then I got what I was asking for and will have found that you can tap into the driving lights switch to bring on the back light. will keep all of you up to date on the progress.

well, I have good news, its the thick brown wire. it will allow you to control it thur the twilight system and the main headlights switch. Checked it this morning, all was good. By the way, I did do searches, and everything I came up with was on the power, ground, and what pin to tap into.
