  • replacing valve covers ? w/in

    me again,
    thinking of replacing my oem valave covers with aftermarket pieces. will any center bolt valve covers work? what will i need to complete j-o-b ? will changing them cause any problems.

    Make sure the replacement valve covers have been notched to clear the alternator. They should be specific for the LT1/LT4 motors of current design, (4-th gen) not from earlier years.
    Other than that, not much else to consider. You can reuse your OEM bolts, and probably the gasket.

      Ditto what Al said. And one more thing if you have the choice between a push in or screw in type valve cover breather go with the screw in. They help to eliminate annoying oil leaks.

      I like these polished aluminum valvecovers.
