Why exactly is that Ken? Special diet people not aware of? What are the special needs of a wolf dog, just curious?

      Hey Ken-

Being a single guy without kids to pester it, I was looking into wolfdogs also. How difficult is it to "domesticate" them and can they turn on you without notice? I go to school in a rough area and having a wolfdog would sure be a theft deterent (lots of theives round here-) But, would it be inclined to kill intruders instead of just scaring them/ neutralizing them (like a police dog does). Prolly wont start looking anytime soon, but nevertheless, Im still curious.

By the way, I should prolly introduce myself to everybody- I'm Steve, 19, and I'm from the Metro Detroit area. Currently going to school at Kettering U (formerly General Motors Technical Inst.) in Flint, MI. I co-op at Roush Racing (I do NVH on mainly production vehicles- for now) I've got a 95 T/A A4 that serves as my daily driver through college. So she's not a race car, but when I get the time and $ I throw a couple mods at it. Glad to be on the board-

rather than me spend the night typing on this forum...... just put in the word "wolfdog" in google.com

read till you cant read anymore.

they wont turn on you ...no more than a dog..... its all in how they are raised. you dont "domesticate" them...you "socialize them".....they are already "domestic" per say. you need to read up on content, the "f" factor.....all that. there is tons of good stuff on them . Florida Lupine Assoc. is a good start. do a search on them. the Wolf Dunn is another.... wolfdog.org also.

they are much smarter than dogs, and much more powerfull. the make terrible watch dogs though.....when you read the stuff on the sites...you will understand.... they are escape artists..and they need compainionship all the time..... and they need running room.........

read up brohs....... its quite interesting.....really is.

ive been involved with wolves and wolfdogs since 1983....and im still learing stuff i never knew....
