  • HELP !!!!!!!!

I am in desperate need of any advice...........I have a 94ta in need of a fuel pump. THe car is on the rack at the local mechanic's and I brought in the new fuel pump today. (Holley intank electric for gm model 12-903) The guys at the shop are saying that this is in no way the right pump, i have not had time to look in to it much but from what i can tell the fuel pump is for third gens. Does anyone have any experience with fuel pumps and our cars? Fred any advice? I dont want to but the OEM part, b/c of my wiring is bad, and it cost 385 more than the already 175 dollar part. Anything advice will help........... thx again

I checked in Summit and it looks like it might be the 255lph Walbro pump that is routinely installed in 4th Gens, but I can not be sure. The pictures at Summit always warn that it is just a "representative" picture and the actual part may differ.

You might want to ask if anyone has installed that exact Holley part, or the Walbro, to see how hard it is. Although the pumps are (probably) intended to fit "somehow", often work is necessary to fit it in. On one of them you have to adapt the pump to the stock support bracket, and remove the stock pump from the plastic housing and then somehow reglue the old plastic housing to the new pump.
