until i get a cat-back, i have a flowmaster muffler in the box in my room will with the receipt still with it, i got it for christmas, i may not have enough cash to buy the cat-back for about a month, should i even bother installing the muffler, will i see a gain or should i just return it and save the money for a cat-back.

what gain do you see with a flowmaster 80 series on a 94 lt1
    1994 firebird formula

no need to talk. i can walk the walk.

you will gain nothing with a muffler install. its just a sound chamber....specially Flowmaster.

the exaust pipe is what you need to get.....bigger....then you need to match the muffler intake to it.... and the tail pipes outlet need to be at least 2.5" or more.

still......the most you might get is 12hp.......

muffler alone.......nope. go to a 3" exhaust pipe from your stock 2.75.

Send the flowmaster muffler back and put the money towards your Loudmouth.
