  • Did 97 WS6's come stock with poly. bushings?

I've been trying to think of some low coast mods I could do to my new WS6 and thought about ES polyeurethane bushings all around, but I think I heard that WS6's came with them from the factory. Does anyone know for sure?

    Thanks,

They didn't come with them. At least my 96 WS6 didn't have them.

FWIW, I had a poly tranny mount and it drove me crazy. The console would rattle like you wouldn't believe.

I'm going to shoot from the hip and say probably no.

They are pretty harsh but are crucial if you are a twisty road guy. Probably the best mod you can make for cutting corners.

2nd best is fat sway bars.

luckily the WS6 package takes care of the fat swaybar problem for me, but yes, I am a twisty road guy so poly bushings will probably be one of the first things I do to the car. Didn't want to go an order them only to find they came stock... thought I had heard that somewhere.

          Anyway,
          Thanks!!

While they did not come with poly bushings, they were upgraded (at least the SLP WS6 cars) over OEM. Appears to be a white plastic compound intead of the standard rubber. Not sure what to call them though...

No poly on a WS6. That would be a pretty good handling upgrade for you. Aftermarket panhard bars aren't too expensive and would also improve handling.

I really liked the setup I did on my WS6. Worked real nice.

                Kenny Brown Double Diamond SFC
                LG Motorsports Torque Arm
                Global West poly/spherical LCAs
                Hotchkis Panhard Rod

The SFC made the car nice and tight, even with the car being a hardtop. The LG torque arm really helped on brake dive axle hop. Also help plant the rear when not on smooth surfaces going around turns. The LCAs and panhard rod also help plant the rear. I really liked the balance of the car with those mods. And the LCAs were as bad as I heard for noise or ride. Just the poly tranny mount was too much for me
