  • 305 bored .030 over

I got my 305 bored .030 over while I am rebuilding it in college. Does anyone know how much more displacement would that add up to? Is is now a 307, 310, etc?

    309.6 ci

    Cylinder volume(displacement) = 3.1416(pi) x 1/2(bore) x 1/2(bore) x stroke x # of cylinders.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks. I knew I could figure it out if I could just find my Modern Automotive Technology book but...

Also, just for anyone that is interested, I would highly suggest doing a rebuild in your college class (if your going for an automotive degree, like me) or vocational school if you ever get the chance (as long as you have the proper tools). We are not done quite yet but it has been very satisfying and fun. I also saved a ton of money, learned a lot, and got to do some performance mods (intake, .030 block and pistons) all at the same time.
