You can try spraying a little windex on the inside of the rubber, it will help it slip on easier.
Also you can try hot water, it will heat up the rubber and make it more pliable.

That's interesting because I bought the Moroso and it was too long too. I had to cut some off the end that connects to the MAF to get the hood to close. It makes me wonder if there is some subtle differences in the LT1 cars between years.
I used windex to help my CAI go on.2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but are you putting one end of the elbow on the TB, and the other to the CAI? If so, what happened to your MAF?
When I installed my Vortech elbow, I fit fine...however, I had previously cut nearly 2 inches off my Moroso CAI because it wouldn't fit with the MBA MAF ends and intake elbow. The Moroso's is plastic though...I wouldn't feel good about chopping the metal SLP one unless you really had to.
Good luck.94 Black T/A GT, Advanced Induction 355, 3200 stall, built 4L60E, Moser 9", Baer Brakes, Shooting for 11s...
