Ford estimates $150,000. But it performs similar to other exotics that cost 3 or 4 times more than that.

I'm not a Ford fan either. But the last couple of years I liked the look of the pony cars. The one thing that stopped me from buying one, was the lack of power in comparison to the f-body's.

Don't like the new one in particular. The front end reminds me of an Aston Martin somehow.

The rear end looks familiar too but I cannot come up with to have seen it before.

How about an Aston Martin? It has a V8!

I like the '04 better(so much so I just bought one) and with 40th badges on it it will always be seperated from the rest of the herd.
Like I said in the thread I started about GM and them being the reason I've bought my first Ford product, I haven't abandoned the f-body. GM has abandoned us F-body lovers though. With the two side by side the f-body is clearly still the better looking.....

I kinda agree with Joe on the other thread. For $30k, I probably won't buy another new car for a while. The used car market is flooded with good cars. A dealer here just sold an 03 Z06 with 3,000 miles for $35k. If I was in the market for a new car I would just wait for the C6 to come out. All of those C5's that were sold for 0% after 9/11 are coming up for final payments and the flood of 04's have saturated the market.

In less than a year you are going to be able to buy a solid, low mile C5 in the teens.

I think ford did a decent job on getting a mix of the old 60's fastbacks and the 2003-04 mustang. But I would still pass on it and drive a Camaro any day. I too am just not a ford person.
