  • f-Body Doors, Can i mod them

Has anyone tried modding the doors to a camero or T/A?! I hate the doors on my car they are big and bulky and make it a ***** you get gas being so long, i was looking at the ion coupe by saturn and the quad design looks awesome, i mean as far as a door idea i have been looking at my T/A and i am wondering if its doable to cut my doors built some hinges and maybe make quad coupe doors on my F-body,

Has anyone seen or heard anything along these lines before if so can someone please be of a little help?!

im sure you could.....but i doubt it will be worth the price tag that will accompany it...

just a quick thought i had on what would become the rear door...you would either have bad gaps or have to figure out a way that the hinges take it forward before out due to the curves of the body....

oh and custom glass/ moldings/ window motors would all be needed

Relax, he didn't say anything wrong.

As for the doors: I was wondering if it is possible to get the brake vents for a 93 - 97 F-Body like the 98's + do?

They make kits for import cars that make the doors tilt up like a Lambo using hydralics. There might be a kit for F-bods.

Ive seen lambo doors before on a ram air ls1 t/a. it looked pretty good but i think they should stick with the lambo.

No, don't apologize so quickly.......you most likely did get called on it. This is a non profanity board and the offending post has been edited. Follow the rules, guys.

sorry my bad, most boards censor themselfs............... but as far as the doors the lambo mod has been done...... thats why i was considering a setup like the quad coupe.

It's a good idea. I've talked to a few people about doing it to my 69 bird. They told me that it would weaken the car because it doesn't have a full frame.
