  • Filter !!!

    hey guys;

    I have a 95 camaro 3.4L. Does anyone know where the canister is on this thing so i can check the filter ?. Also has anyone experienced a clogged canister filter and if so,what was the effects it was causing to your car ?

    Thanks, ron

    My 3rd gen V-6 would run rough at times, especially if I really got on the throttle it would almost die. Changing the fuel filter cleared these problems up. As for the location of the fuel filter on your ride, I am not sure.

      Drivers' side rear under the car. It is in front of the left rear wheel underneath the car in line with the 3 fuel lines you will see. Can't miss it.

          Chiltons does not show a separate "filter".... on the V8, the evap emissions charcoal canister is in the driver's rear fender, behind the fill pipe. It is accessed by a plastic panel in the wheel well. I would suspect that the V6 and V8 canister setup is similar. Appears that the canister may incorporate a filter, but I was under the impression that the canister is a "sealed" unit.... could be wrong, because I have never looked at mine.
