Ok, i just posted this as a reply in another thread but oh well. i heard that a few f-bodies and base corvettes got LS6 engines that were extra. Was wondering if anyone else heard the same

Some f-bodies got an LS6 block and all '01+ f-bodies got the LS6 intake. They still have LS1 heads and a different cam than their LS6 counterpart.

25% of the '01 and '02 cars received the LS6 block. That was done merely as a cost effective measure, some also had the LS6 intake manifold. All the rest of the stuff didn't make production by GM. Now, several aftermarket tuners put out cars with the extra parts, but that wasn't a GM factory produced car. So to answer the question, GM never put a LS6 in an f-body for production. Any cars that exist were done by aftermarket tuners.
