  • Pinging Z28

I was hoping someone can help me out with my problem. When I took my 2000 Z28/ A4 to the track, it was ping when it gets over 95 mph. Even with this problem it still ran 13.66 @ 103.5 MPH. I want take it to the track again but I want to make sure that this is not something really wrong with the car. The car is complete stock, with 42000 miles. Please let me know if you have any info.

    Thanks, Will

now and then....you can get a "ping" from any gas.....coulda been some consensation comming thru......coulda been the gas itself. heck...ive seen folks have to drain their tanks cause of bad gas...... (dont get dirty here dudes...hahaha). if you dont experience it again...or not a regular basis....dont fret about it.

I was going to pick some 100 octane at the track. To see if this will help. If it does not I will pull a couple of plugs to see whats going on.

I was told that is pretty good for a stock car. my 60 foots sucked 2.11 was my best. I just got my SLP airlid and smooth bellows. I want to get into the low 12's with no power adders.

          Thanks, Will
