I have a 1999 z28 camaro convertible with the 5.7 ls-1 automatic transmission. I went to get my car from the body shop today and its been there for five weeks between two shops. I started the car and noticed the oil pressure was at 20 but its always been at 40 at idle. I got on it once and it went just past forty checked the oil it was full and oil was not bad looking i still have1000 miles till change. I always use 10w30 Mobil 1 with Mobil 1 filters is this a problem and what should i do to fix it?

I would change it NOW! In the shop they just start it, move it, and shut it off. It probably has fuel washed by the rings down into the oil. Oil and filter are cheap insurance!Kevin Thornton
