Whats the fastest you've ever gone in your F-Bod?

I had a chance to open my WS6 up this weekend. I was out on by the weapons ranges and theres just a nice like 10 mile deserted straight strip of road that opened up on. I had the T-Tops off and managed to safely get my car up to 147MPH before I decided I didn't wanna hit a twig and end up in a fatal spin out. Made it through with out a problem! I still had plenty of acceleration to go(part of me wanted to see the needle maxed out)

My V6 is electronically limited to 125 mph. This means on the speedo it shows almost 130 mph.

I havenīt removed the limiter yet. I heard, that on the V6 the steel driveshaft could cause problems at speeds in excess of 125 mph, so I probably would have to upgrade to the aluminium drive shaft of the Z 28 to operate at those speeds.

Furthermore I have the feeling that the cooling systems are not laid out for such constant load.

In any case, on my convertible the wind noises are excessive above 105 mph, the wind pulls the drivers side window outwards, causing noise just behind my left ear.

before i did 4:10's in my Comp TA, and before any major internal engine work was done...... i was into it (just for fun) with a viper to see how bad i'd loose...... lonely interstate...... my speedometer was buried...... he ended up having a vibration problem and had to pull over..... i stopped and backed up to see what was wrong.... he said the last time he looked his speedo was at 160mph......

133 in my TA....140 in GTA..but that 140 was like 4 years ago. LoL...oh well. I know my car can do 155+ easy, and I have videos, so I don't have that urge to max it out...but hey, that urge can hit me when I see miles of str8 road and I have nothing in front of me...

I've been close to that speed. I won't say how fast, but I had to teach a guy in a third gen that the 4th gen was aerodynamically superior to his car (not even mentioning the, oh, 100 more horsepower factor )

I've been 160mph in my camaro before. it was smooth all the way until around 140mph. Hell I get to 112mph (180kph) almost daily. It comes with living in a country with a lot of dessert and a lot of highway
But I gotta say the camaro is smooth all the way, it even feels smoother going at 100mph than it does at 65mph.

Even my dad loves to take the beast out and hit the occasional 100mph too

140, i had to show my friend that just because i had 4.10's didnt mean his high reving 300zx was superior, at all, we were side by side at 130 and i nailed it. he couldnt go any faster.

heh! ...yea...I'm headed to the track once I buy some wheels with a little more grip....that place intimidates me ....but hell I jumped off a 75 foot tower this weekend and hights used to intimidate me so...y not right?!

Ive only hit about 130 but I know I can wind it alot higher. There is no good place in the city to try without too much attention. This summer I am taking a road trip so I will report when I get back.

It's surprising how fast the car can get up there. I try to be safe, but there've been a couple times when I wasn't paying attention when getting on the highway and I look down and the speedo is passing 100.
