A stock Z06 cannot exceed 180 "on paper". Motor Trend tried it with Justin Bell (sports car driver) and I believe it hit 178. But who knows the real top speed because conditions change, etc.

                      rated tires

they are rated tires and are safe to a certin speed any thing over and you run the chance of blowing a tire and they wear a lot quicker.

                          Fasssssssssssssterrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

Lets see, since I have had several cars, lets break this out.

1993 Corvette = 165mph (digital speedo) racing a cobra mustang, needless to say I destroyed him.

1997 Formula = 125mph (taught a Ricer a lesson!) Up for sale if anybody is interested. Excellent Car!

1998 Trans Am = Buried (racing a GTS viper for fun, the guy pulled me over and said, "Damn, I didn't know those things could move that fast!")

1999 Z28 = Buried (to many times to count) I had suspension work, and Z rated tires... It felt like I was going 60 every time... it was that smooth. The best car I have every owned, to bad I had to sell it.

High speed is very dangerous, but every time I did race, it didn't indanger anybody else except myself and the other guy. Like they say, don't try this at home, very dangerous!!!!! I have a baby now, so I don't do this stuff any more....

it is not a stock z06, it has a borla exhaust, new headers, hypertech programmer and supercharger....it is extremely quck and can hit well over 180..
