Replace the center piece... problem solved. I'd fix the center piece before I spent money on tinting windows. How is tinting windows going to fix the faded center piece?

and it has to do with they look kinda cheap because the firebird tailights are so big on a red car it looks good but boring, the stock lights have lines and things in them

You might want to try a mild buffing compound on it. I'd remove it and take it inside to rub on it for a couple hours. You can then purchase new decals for it, if needed. I'd even try using the buffing wheel on it... be carefull not to get it hot or it will melt. Get the pad very wet with compound and use a slow speed.

If that doesnt work, pick up a new one.

I've never been a fan of them either. Only on a black car, IMHO. They are a pain in the butt to constantly remove / install / clean / store without scratching them up.

It's just not worth it to me.

Whatever you do DO NOT buy the center piece from your local pontiac dealership parts store! They want $150.00 just for that damn piece of plastic, not worth it! You can awalys find them in very good condition on Ebay - America's largest garage sale
