My car is a 1991 Camaro. By the way, where to you go to get GM part numbers? I have never gone to a dealership to get parts but I am going to have to soon.

The real purpose of that thing is to scrape across the ground when you get out of a driveway and make a horrid noise that sends chills down your spine making you think you've destroyed your bumper.

i thought it spurpose WAS TO scrape the ground BEFORE the bumper does, so u sorta have a clue how much ground clearance u still have before the actual bumper does scrape

Okay... I have almost had cats and raccoons, etc... get caught by it...

The reason I started this forum was that some one was scoping out my car and they said what is that under there and what does it do... Besides sending air into the engine I didn't know what esle it did... So I thought it would be wise to increase my knowledge about my car...

Thanks and I like the cats getting caught idea...
                Thanks

I'm not sure of the part number but here is one on ebay, I'm also not sure what the price is from GM Parts Direct
