Judge was only for '69 model year- shouldn't apply to a '72 unless the guy stuck some '69 stickers on it.

Not true. I know they were made at least in 69, 70 and 71.

The Judge option was available only three years, 1969 to 1971. If you are in the market for a Judge, one thing to note is that, were built before January 1969 and were made after January 1971
oops! Good catch TraceZ- I could have swore the judge was '69 only. Turns out a '72 still couldn't have been one though.

Judges were made 69 - 71. No such thing in 72. If you find a real judge - its bigggggg money. You couldnt touch a basket case for under 10 - 15k. Pristine examples going for over 100k.

They were equipped with all the high performance goodies. Kinda like buying a WS6. Thay had fancy decals too

The Ram Air IV is the baddest engine pontiac has made (maybe the sd 455 could be an arguement) - very conservatively rated at 370 HP - more like 425 in reality. If you find a judge with this engine and a 4 speed muncie - you've got a serious machine.
96 WS6 Formula: Ram Air, 383 Stroker, Ported LT4 Heads and Manifold, 1.6 Crane Rollers, 58MM T.B., AS&M Headers, Borla Exhaust, Meziere Elec. H2O Pump, Canton Deep Sump Oil Pan, 100 HP OF TNT N2O!! , T56 Conversion w/ Pro 5.0 shifter, SPEC Stage 3 Clutch, Hotchkiss Subframe Conn., Lakewood Adj. Panhard Bar, Spohn Adj. LCA's, BMR Adj. T.A., Custom 12 bolt w/ 3:73's, Moser Axles, Eaton Posi, Moser Girdle
              11.6 @ 123mph (1.6 60' - getting there )
