  • should I buy a 96 collectors edition???

My dad wants to sell his 96 collectors edition corvette. He is asking $13,000. What do you guys think, should i buy it? It has 79K on it.

I would. Sweet car, not a bad price. Be prepared though to spend money on ignition, accessories and stuff. It's getting around that mileage......

Is it stick? All 96 6-speed C4's came with the LT4. I would only get it if it's stick otherwise don't waste your money, you'll regret it as you get older.

Then again, if you're only 18, God help you when it comes to the insurance bill.

Joe, I was thinking the same thing. An 18 year old with a vette would be murder for the insurance. If it's an LT4 that's a great price. If it's not, it's still a fair price but I wouldn't bother. Keep the f-body!

If it is a factory LT4 then it will have a 6-speed. No factory LT4 had an automatic. I'd get it just for the collector car factor.

Yes it's a 6-speed and of course I would keep the f-body for everyday driver. So everyone thinks yes, its just insureance will be a crazy high. I think I'm gonna go for it!
