How much do those C5R engine parts cost? I heard they are incredibly expensive.

If you want a turbo get a WRX or a Supra. Turbos on F-body's dont seem right to me. Yea, yea, yea I know...what about the GTA? I was never a fan of the GTA or the 3rd Gen but again, that's just my opinion.

A C5R block alone is $7,000. You don't want to know what a set of ported C5R heads with splayed titanium valves go for.

Is it wrong not to like turbos on naturally aspired engines? OMG! *GASP!*

nope, nothing wrong with that at all. what is wrong is simply misusing the word rice.

LS1's pretty much already own the road as it is... a turbo'd LS1 would be *sick*. hard to do, really expensive... but everyone would fear you.

i have to ask though, why dont you like the idea of a turbo on a L*1? the mad amounts of power you'd be making?

do you hate nitrous as well?

It says it actually "replaces" the muffler. I've been looking at this one for some time now, but I'm wondering how it would affect the sound of the flowmaster cat-back I have.

I'm not against power adders, but I think I know where DJ Taso is coming from. Our cars, while capable of massive power with turbochargers and the like, don't really need them to be "fast" street cars, although they make it easy to do so. There's enough guys running 450 horse N/A smallblocks to back me up here.

I'm not sure if you could ever match the output of a turbo LS1 with an N/A motor, but you sure could stomp all over a slew of turbo hondas, mitsubishis, and the like. All the time being able to tell them that your big american gas-hog V8 doesn't need any help from Garrett to smoke their little rice rockets.

It is wrong to call a turbo on an f-body some form of rice. It is a simple power adder. Classifying a f-body with a turbo as rice is an insult to eveyone with good taste. Next I suppose that nitrous is for kids who can't work on engines and superchargers are for punks who are afraid to open up the motor and do real work.

let's cut the stereotype crap and get back to business.....
