Auto Lifts...

Can someone please post the name/link of the lift that was posted here (albeit quite some time ago) for an auto lift that was VERY small and cost like $1,000.00 that easily fit in your average two car garage?

I think I have the link at home, alas I'm not home and I wanted to do a little more research seeing how I have 7 hours to kill.

I believe that it only lifted the car about 4ft off the ground and was POSSIBLY a scissor type...I honestly don't remember.

Anyone have any thoughts on this lift and/or company?

Just to keep all this in context:
I'm looking for a SMALL lift that will fit in your standard 2 car garage that will accept cars that have great difficulty in simply being jacked via a hand jack and usually just push ramps (yes even the low profile Rhino Ramps...meaning they are quite low to the ground.

I'm just sick and tired of having to use 2 different jacks and jack stands just to safely get all 4 tires off the ground.

What is hitting on the Rhino's? My car sits very low, even though it's on stock suspension, so low that a lot of f-body guys ask me what springs I have on the car I can still get on Rhino's no problem.

And the jack solution is easy. Go pick up one of the aluminum racing jacks from Harbor Freight. Quick pump style (like 6 pumps to full lift). I jack my car up by the pumpkin and the K member and can usually have it on stands within 5 minutes.

I have the lowest profile floor jack you can get and its still a pain to do sometimes (but thats why I kept the SFCs even though I have a cage, I use them as jack points)...the nose hits the ramps, its REAL bad when I take off my sway bar for the track. The rear of the car isn't a problem...just the front. Then there is my Wife's car...its just as bad, if not worse.

Yah I know its do-able, but I'm tired of making do (I've been making due for quite some time)...I want fast and easy!!!

I dont know if it will fit but I got a 2 post 9000lb asyemitrical for $2K shipped to me. The quality is great and company was good to deal with. They even had one custom made 2 inches shorter so I could assemble on ground and tilt it up.
They did offer one other low profile one that has the hoses and cables on the floor instead of overhead.Name of company was American Lifts I believe.

Knightfire, from the pictures on that page, it looks like it might be hard to actually get under the car when it's on that lift. There are a lot of braces and crossmembers under there. It looks like it's intended for tire rotations and maybe brake work. I'm just not so sure it'd be much use for under-car stuff like exhaust, suspension, etc...
