Well, don't underestimate eBay -- or people.
I bought my 1995 Camaro V6, 49,000 miles, garaged all its life off eBay from a fellow in Florida for $3,750 (I live in Missouri).
This guy had every receipt, even took the car to be detailed for me once I got there, and spend a good 3 hours talking to me about the car, and his other car collections.
Now, was this an unusual case? HELL yeah! However, do your research and you won't be dissapointed. I drove 1,200 miles for this car -- but I now have a car that is in almost pristine condition and a motor that has enough compression to get me 37 mpg on the highway without blinking an eye!

I'm guessing you mean 27 mpg?
Yeah, I have seen crazy deals on e-Bay motors. The only problem is that most of the time you don't get to drive the car - or even see it in person - before you start paying for it. That's kinda risky. One thing that sticks out in my mind was a dealer trying to move a brand new 2002 Z06 for a price in the 30's... There are some crazy deals available, no doubt...Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.
Current Ride: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - spec.B #312 of 500

I hope to get some compression numbers this weekend to see just whats going on there. The engine is pretty stock, but has a few mods on it (cold air intake, etc.).
You'll find no complaints from me on its gas mileage... even in city!1995 Chevy Camaro, V6, 5-spd Manual - Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor :-)
