  • ABS is driving me nuts!!!!!

Ok, I'm tired of this stinking ABS problem. I'm going to bone-up on this system and see if I can't figure out the problem. We've eliminated the speed sensor, since its swapped out about 4 times now (thanks Joe). I've tried the jumper harness and that didnt' seem to help that I noticed. Now, I may have jacked it up when putting it onto the speed sensor, but I doubt it since it is doing the same thing that it has been since I bought her. When its cold out, there's a 99% chance I'll the INOP light and not worry about it (besides the annoying light). But, the warmer the outside temp gets, the more likely it is to pulling the Low Trac problem instead. My bet is that its a wiring issue, but where? I've tried to get the part number for the harness that the jumper harness (12145049) connects to, but to no avail. Any ideas guys?

If all electrical issues have been checked have you checked the gear at the differential? My light came on INOP mode and the delear could not find the problem ($200 later) I decided to get the dealer manual and dive into the problem. The gear that drives the sensor in the rear diff stripped a couple of teeth. Long story short, new 373's

Thanks for the reply man, but the problem code is coming from the front right sensor. Not sure that the rear reluctor ring would do that. But, thanks for the help. I'll keep that in mind if I have a problem with the rear.

Ok, here's something that will raise an eyebrow. I fire up the Z and get ready to take her out yesterday. Its been sunny lately and I miss the exhiliration. So, I'm lookin' for a CD to put in...I put one in and glance at the cluster...ABS INOP is on and I haven't even moved yet. It went off once she started up, then came back on before I even moved. Does this look more like the wiring or the BCM? Thanks guys.
