  • C6 already being manufactured?

I wasn't aware the C6 Corvette was already in production, but I saw my first one on a car hauler this morning. It was bright yellow. It's a beautiful car, but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the exposed headlights. It may look better on a different color, but the lens covers just seemed way to big in comparison to everything else, but I'm nitmpicking a little. A great looking car in person.

I haven't seen any C6s on the road or at any dealerships... When will the 05 cars start showin up?

on a different note... 2 Ford GTs rolled down I-75 a few days ago right through Macon... They weren't on a trailer, they were being driven. One was yellow w/ black stripes, the other was silver w/ black stripes...

I just read an interesting article in Motor Trend about the new C6.

The verts are equipped with a Bose AudioPilot soundsystem that senses the top going down and automatically switches to a noise compensating algorithm to reduce wind and road noise.

      That is cool!

I like everything about the car except the headlights. I mean they aren't terrible but they just look a little to Euro for me. They copied the headlights from the Ferrari Modena.

They started doing some test runs down the production line a few weeks ago. They were planning on producing 20 of them. The interesting thing is they will be building C5's and C6's on the same line, at the same time. Then, after production of the C5s stops, it will all be the 6's.

Not sure where the one on the car hauler would be going...they aren't supposed to be in dealerships until June or July.

I actually like the headlights. To me, it is getting rid of a problem area.

I think the headlights are going to be one of those things that are going to have to grow on some people. Kinda like the headlight switch they did on the Camaros in '98, I hated them at first, but now I prefer the new ones. I definitely like the look of the C6......but the C5 is still a beautiful car to me.

I think the Gm did an awesome job restyling the car. Looks really mean.

I like it from the side and rear, but the front is flat out ugly to me.

Here is a pretty cool 360° view of the '05 Vette Roadster.

The one I saw was heading north on I-81 through central PA. It could have been heading to the turnpike to go east-west, or continue to points farther north. I believe it was the only one on the trailer (there were other cars), but the bright yellow may have just attracted my attention away from the others. I only saw it for a few seconds as it went the other direction.

                            Love them

I've had 2 vettes, and this one does justice to the name. It will take time for people to get use to the headlights, because vettes haven't had fixed headlights since 1962. Anyway, I'm more excited about the LS 2 engine than anything. I'm already thinking of ways to swap it into an F-body..... 400HP from the factory, and thats the standard car... gotta love it....

Oh yeah, if anybody is interested, you should go to the Corvette Museum site. They are giving away the very last C5 Z06 to be made. It will be a major collectors item. Here is the site. Almost forgot, the raffle tickets are $150 a piece, and they are only selling 2004 of them. I already got my chance.
