  • 2.8 fuel pressure???

    on a mpi 2.8 does anybody know what the specs are on the fuel pump. i'm converting to tpi and i need a cheap and easy to find fuel pump for it. any help would be great

    Its probably the same. You can call the parts store and get a part number on the TPI pump and the V6 pump - that will tell you right away. If they are no the same part # then ask for the specs on each - they may have a book that tells LPH on the pump.

    Or....just try it. If it doesnt work then you know you have to change it right?

      I used to run a 350 off the original 2.8 pump in an 86 camaro.

      never had a problem.

        the 350 you were running had fuel injection on it?

          No, it was carb'd and I was using a holley FPR to get the presure down low enough. I never had a problem with not getting enough gas, though... there was plenty of fuel flow for the 350.

          I never measured the pressure before the regulator... my pressure guage was installed just before the carb.
