some of you may remember me posting about my gas guage going down almost a whole quarter of a tank after filling it up and driving only 11 miles, well i get in my car tonight and its back up to almost full and i drive about 8 more miles and it hardly went down at all this time. i think my car is playing early april fools on me.

Mine is messed up also, I can get about 100 miles and still be above full and then at 150 miles I'm at half, then 200 miles I better find a gas station and it's on Empty.Richard Harvey Jr.

There's nothing wrong with your gauge. That is how all 4th gens are. The gauge isn't linear due to the shape of the gas tank and location of the sender. It's kind of an upside down pyramid if you will. Less capacity at the bottom of the tank so needle drops faster. My Z28 does it and my formula did as well......LaterOriginally posted by TruckMuddr
