  • NFB it is a sad day :(

I am going to buy a minivan this Saturday.

There was a point in life, a few years back that I swore I would *never* drive a minivan. I hated minivans, and thought the ppl driving them were terrible drivers.

We will sell our 97 Blazer after we get the van. It is a 2003 Grand Caravan with 14,000 miles on it. It has all options but leather, including power everything, rear A/C, CD and has the 3.3L V6 that can run on Ethanol. It is Inferno Red. I'm paying $15,500 for it.

    A red minivan. *sob*
My wife really wants it... and she is very happy about it, So I am happy for her. It will be the newest car she has ever had and she is very excited. I will get used to it.

Hi. My name is Tracy, and I own a Minivan. *bangs head on table*

Hey it happens. We have one two. I never drive it. It actually drives well on the freeway. It's very useful for going and getting things like 12 bolt rearends, , and 383 stroker blocks.

I drive my mom's all the time, and its great for when I want some nice things, at least for now before I get a beater truck. My mom's is a MPV, and the thing is actually pretty fast . Really peppy, fair amount of torque, but its FWD, so its good for burnouts, but thats it. Her old one (a '90) was RWD, and that thing rode really well.

It takes a little to get used to, mostly because everyone expects a mom that can't drive, or a really old couple.
        my car:
'86 Caprice Classic. Soon to have a 350 crate motor. Shooting for 300rwhp.

        the project:
check the www for pics, but a '36 Chevy Master Sedan, MII front end, Jaguar IRS, '93 LT1 powerplant with plans for 350rwhp, and many many other goodies

Goodbye, friend. Be brave in your shame. Sit low in your seat and wear some wraparound shades. I'll say a prayer for you. You can allways get a bumper sticker that says "My other car doesn't suck" and people will at least know that you want to be cool - you just can't at the moment.

hey, what do I know? I have a CRV

Awww, it's not so bad. In addition to my T/A, I own a Montana and a Vibe. I had a Sunfire but sold it. (sense a recurring them....hint, think Indian chief).

I've got to say, my minivan is the way to travel for long distances with the family and all their stuff. Far more comfortable and gas friendly than a sedan or SUV.

                      Hello,

This is Tracy's wife. Just to set the record straight:

I also said to my self, I will never buy a mini van. Tracy is the one who picked this one out. So, if he wanted a cooler one, he could've picked one. I do realize that cool and minivan don't really belong in the same sentence. But, you get my drift.

There is actually a master plan behind my desire to have a minivan. It's called, third kid. My evil plan is working well. I expect third kid by next year, then comes big house in country....HaHa HaHa (place evil maniachal laugh here)

I will never forget - we owned a 96 Ford Windstar - we were on vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. We needed some bread so I went to get some - it was about 10:30. It was a beautiful night - I had the windows down llistening to some good music. A convertible pulls up next to me full of girls in bikinis. The one in the passenger seat looks over at me and says "Nice car!". I skid down in the seat, went back to my wife and said that as soon as we got home we were selling the van!! (She now has a suburban!)

They are useful - just don't be caught driving one
